How to approach your first build
We recommend following the reference image for your first scene to understand the layering and build flow before experimenting.
Step 1
Analyse the scene
Start by looking at the reference image to understand how pieces layer and overlap.
**Tip: If one sticker sits on top of another, place the underlying piece first.
Step 2
Peel and Align
When ready, gently roll the sticker edge to release it and lift it with tweezers.
Align the sticker with the wall or floor so lines sit perpendicular. Then, press lightly to secure.
**Tip: You can carefully reposition if needed.
Step 3
Build by Layers
Start from the inner corner and work gradually outward.
Additional tips and guidance are available below.

Common first-time questions
Does it come with instructions?
Although our scene stickers don’t include a step-by-step instruction booklet, each set comes with a reference image on the backing card that shows the intended layout.
You can also view and zoom in on the reference image on the product page to see finer details.
This open format gives you flexibility to build, encourages spatial awareness, and leaves room for creativity, while still offering guidance if you need it.
Do I have to follow the reference image?
For your first scene, we highly recommend following the reference image.
It helps you understand the layering order and how pieces fit together. Once you’re comfortable with the process, you’re free to adjust or design your own layout!
How do I know which sticker comes first?
General build order
Start from the inner corner, then build along the walls first, and place centre pieces last.
Tips to read the layer
Use the reference image as a guide. Stickers partially hidden in the reference usually go down first, and the image shows approximate spacing, though some designs may vary slightly.
Before committing, you can test placement using the translucent backing to check spacing and alignment.
Work in sections
Identify a small group of stickers as a section. Peel a few related stickers at a time, place them on your hand or desk edge, then finish a section before moving on. This reduces searching, fatigue, and missed pieces.
Before placing a piece, pause and check whether anything sits on top of it in the reference image. If it does, place that underlying piece first. This approach helps you avoid blocking later pieces and keeps the build flow smooth.
What should I do if I make a mistake?
Don't worry if you make a mistake. Stickers can be carefully peeled off and repositioned. Gently lift the edge with your fingernail, then use tweezers to place it again.
Keep in mind that repeated peeling may weaken the adhesive or affect the print, so adjust lightly and only when needed.
Does it come with a tweezer and do I need one?
Our scene sticker sets do not come with tweezers, unless specified on the product page.
Tweezers are not required, but they are helpful for smaller or more detailed pieces. Using tweezers can give you better control and help keep the sticker surface clean.
A compatible tweezer is available to purchase separately on our website if needed.
What can I do with the finished sticker scene?
A finished scene can be enjoyed in many ways! Either as a display piece, a keepsake, or something you reuse over time.
It can be displayed on a desk or shelf, framed like a small artwork, or turned into a fridge magnet by adding a magnetic backing.
Scenes can also be stored as part of a collection. They fit neatly into ring binders or scrapbooks, where you can keep them on a page, add notes, dates, or treat them like a visual journal.
For everyday use, the scene card works well as a bookmark, and stickers can be transfer to decorate journals, planners, or notebooks.
If you enjoy DIY projects, a clear phone case can be used to create a custom phone insert—either by trimming the scene card to size or placing the stickers directly onto the back of your phone and securing them with the case.
The scenes are designed to be flexible, so how you use them is entirely up to you.
Finished your first build?
Once you understand the process, moving on to more detailed builds will feel much easier!
